Palestine Standsrds Institution-PSI held a training course for WAFA employees about PSI Quality Control Procedures on tuesday (7/ Nov/ 2017).
The Director General of PSI, Eng. Haidar Hajjeh, assured that the systems of quality control performance are achieved through the process of continuous development.
he added that PSI aims to raise the competitiveness of the Palestinian products and contribute to support the Palestinian economy, in addition to protect the consumer through the preparation of mandatory technical regulations, granting certificates of quality, Halal and quality certificate for olive oil.
this training course also discussed the training procedure of PSI, which is presented by Eng. Lama Fanoos/ the Head of Training Division, and clarified the main important things that must be met in this procedure;
- objectives, - responsibilities and identify the - processes to implement it based on the Palestinina Civil Service Law.
then the Director of the Development and Internal Audit Committee, Mr. Raed Al-Helou, explained the basis of internal auditing on the quality system, which aims to measure how much PSI implementing the system, that includes both the work procedures and the degree of consistency of public policies with the quality objectives of the institution and the effectiveness of the system in achieving these objectives.
Finally, Eng. Haitham Abu Rayyan, Director of PSI Hebron Office, explained in details Principles of Total Quality Management, and the requrements of the International Standard ISO 9001.
At the end of this course, questionnaires were distributed to the participants to evaluate the training course in terms of level of interaction, discussion, performance of trainers, scientific materials and practical examples....
