Nablus office in Nablus represents Palestine Standards Institution (PSI) in the northern governorates, and is considered one of its effective executive branches. It provides the best services to the public, private and academic sectors through its communication and corporation through a distinguished technical and administrative staff.
The office is administratively and technically supervised by the office manager Eng. Abeer Abu Hijleh. The office includes the technical services department, the national measurement department, and the financial and administrative section.
The office accomplishes many tasks, including the implementation of testing programs for the quality and supervision marks, chemical safe products mark and Pal-Gap mark. The office also participates in the audit of quality, halal, Pal-gap and chemical safe products systems.
The office also conducts special tests for paint, aluminum, tin, cartoon, concrete, reinforced concrete pipes, precast concrete sections for inspection chambers (circular and conic shape), etc. also sells Palestinian standards and approves labels.
The office follows up on certificates of conformity for various products such as fire doors, central gas tanks, etc., in addition to following up on tests of conformity with imports and operational systems such as central gas installations.
The office is preparing programs for calibration and verification for fuel defenses, gas station, tank meters, precious balances, trading balances, prepackages and calibration for instruments in factories and labs.
The office also represents the institution in the meetings of the Executive Council and the Public Health and Safety Committee in the Nablus governorate, meetings, seminars and workshops in the North region. Also, it is an active member of the advisory committees of the Chemical Engineering Department and the Practical Training Center at An-Najah University, and a member of the Strategic Plan Committee for Nablus Municipality.
The office supervises the training of university students and the awareness activities for school students and participates in awareness workshops.
