Committee on Agricultural Facilities Standards Holds Its 15th Meeting and Recommends the Adoption of Two Standards

The Committee on Agricultural Facilities Standards held its fifteenth meeting today via Google Meet, with the participation of representatives from eight relevant entities, as part of the efforts of the Palestinian Standards and Metrology Institution to develop and update the Palestinian standards system in line with the latest international standards and to meet the needs of relevant sectors.

The Committee Rapporteur, Eng. Tareq Abu Al-Rub, explained that during this meeting, the Committee completed its review of two draft Palestinian standards that had previously been discussed at its fourteenth meeting. The Committee decided to consider them final drafts and submit recommendations to the Board of Directors for their adoption.

Once adopted, the first draft will replace Palestinian Standards PS 133-1:1997 and PS 3730-1:2018 as an updated standard, while the second draft will replace Palestinian Standard PS 3730-2:2019 as a new standard. The two drafts address issues related to agricultural and horticultural films.

These efforts form part of broader initiatives to strengthen quality infrastructure, support environmental protection and public health, and keep pace with scientific and technological developments.
