Medical Devices and Supplies Technical Committee Holds Its 28th Meeting

The Technical Committee for Medical Devices and Supplies held its 28th meeting, with the participation of representatives from nine public and private sector institutions, as well as academic organizations. The meeting was convened as part of the Palestinian Standards Institution’s ongoing efforts to develop and update Palestinian standards in line with the latest international standards.

Dr. Hiba Zbadi, Secretary of the Committee, stated that the committee reviewed eight draft standards and recommended submitting them to the Board of Directors for adoption as Palestinian standards. These included two new draft standards and six revised drafts. The committee also reviewed fourteen existing Palestinian standards and recommended updating twelve of them, while maintaining the validity of two standards after confirming their continued technical suitability.

The committee’s work covered standards related to medical syringes, the biological evaluation of medical devices, medical devices utilizing animal tissues and their derivatives, and catheter systems used in neurovascular applications.
