Standards and Metrology Conducts Field Visit to Al-Zababdeh and Qabatiya Municipalities and Aya Factory

Jenin – The Standards and Metrology Institution conducted a field visit that included the municipalities of Al-Zababdeh and Qabatiya, as well as an advisory visit to Aya Factory, as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with local authorities and the industrial sector, and to promote awareness of quality and conformity requirements.

At Al-Zababdeh Municipality, the Institution's delegation met with the Mayor, Ms. Hala Dawood, where they discussed the importance of including conformity certification requirements in public tenders, in addition to introducing the technical services provided by the Institution to support local authorities.

The delegation also visited Qabatiya Municipality and met with the Mayor, Mr. Bilal Kmeil. During the meeting, the Institution's services were presented, and a number of issues related to public tenders and mechanisms for benefiting from the Institution's services were discussed, contributing to enhancing the quality of products and services.

The visit concluded with an advisory tour of Aya Factory, during which prepackaged products were inspected as part of an approved work program. Guidance was also provided on the requirements for obtaining certificates of conformity and their role in improving product quality and strengthening market opportunities.
