The Medical Devices and Supplies Technical Committee held its twenty-seventh meeting in a single in-person session, with the participation of representatives from nine entities.

The committee's secretary, Dr. Hiba Zabadi, stated that the committee discussed eight draft standards and decided to submit them to the Board of Directors for approval as Palestinian Standards. Six of these were new standards, while two were revisions of existing standards. The committee also completed the review of ten Palestinian standards, recommending the confirmation and continued validity of three of them, while referring the remaining seven for updating.

During the meeting, the committee discussed eight new and revised Palestinian draft standards and completed the review of ten standards as follows:

• New Draft PS 1808: Traditional Chinese Medicine — Safety Requirements for Cupping Devices.
• New Draft PS 1840: Traditional Chinese Medicine — Microscopic Examination of Medicinal Herbs.
• Revised Draft PS 3092: Surgical Instruments — Non-Cutting Articulated Instruments — General Requirements and Test Methods.
• New Draft PS 3355: Additive Manufacturing for Medical Use — General Principles — Additive Manufacturing of Non-Active Implants.
• New Draft PS 3357: Dentistry — Evaluation of the Antibacterial Activity of Dental Restorative Materials, Luting Materials, Fissure Sealants, and Orthodontic Bonding or Fixation Materials.
• New Draft PS 3358: Dentistry — Evaluation of the Biocompatibility of Medical Devices Used in Dentistry.
• Revised Draft PS 3666 Part 3: Prefilled Syringes — Part 3: Seals for Dental Local Anesthetic Cartridges.

The committee also completed the review of the following ten standards:

• Review of PS 3856:2021 — Dentistry — Dental Cartridge Needles.
• Review of the PS 3860 Series — Intravascular Catheters.

• Review of PS 4339:2021 — Traditional Chinese Medicine — Sterile Single-Use Intradermal Acupuncture Needles.
• Review of PS 4341:2021 — Enteral Feeding Systems — Design and Testing.
• New Draft PS 4608 Part 2: Processing of Health Care Products — Information to Be Provided by the Medical Device Manufacturer for the Processing of Medical Devices — Part 2: Non-Critical Medical Devices.
