Scope
The main objective of this document is to provide guidelines for the creation of the Product Information File (PIF) as a reference guide for the parties responsible for cosmetic products that may be placed on the market, in order to demonstrate compliance and fulfill the requirements of the Mandatory Technical Instructions No. 74/2017. It covers the following:
- How to prepare and organize the Product Information File (PIF).
- The mandatory data and documents that must be included in the specified sections of the file.
- Who is responsible for retaining the PIF in a manner accessible to the competent authorities.
- How to make the Product Information File (PIF) available.
