Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements to be met by emulsified liquid fabric softeners containing active substances of cationic origin, intended to impart softness to clothes and fabrics, and containing fragrance materials to provide a pleasant scent to the laundry.

This standard does not apply to:

Liquid softeners used for industrial purposes.

Liquid softeners that do not contain cationic substances.
